Café El Coquí is a purely Puerto Rican company. It began operations in 1986 by its founders, Mr. Emérito Ruperto Torres and his wife Mrs. Gladys Rodríguez Malavé in the Perchas I neighborhood of San Sebastián. This company is currently under the direction of their sons Mr. Emerito Ruperto Rodriguez, who has more than 30 years of experience in the coffee industry and the administrator Mr. Eduviges Ruperto Rodriguez who is also an expert in coffee growing and buying and selling. Eduviges is also one of the farmers with the highest volume of coffee production in San Sebastian.
